The Avon Ring is made up of two rivers and two narrow canals, just possible in a week, more relaxed in 10 days! The River Severn and its tributary the Warwickshire River Avon will take you to Stratford upon Avon, from where the hard work begins on the heavily locked Stratford Canal and Worcester and Birmingham Canal. But the wonderful ‘Heart of England’ countryside makes it all worthwhile!

From Warwickshire Narrowboats Hire Base you will join the ring at Kingswood Junction (south) which is 8 miles, and 23 locks away making the total trip 126 miles, and 176 locks.

An energetic week's cruise, the Ring has 94 to 107 locks depending on your route through Birmingham. We advise that although you can complete the ring in 7 days,10 days is best as it allows you to visit the many sights and attractions like Drayton Manor theme park, Warwick castle and Birmingham city centre .

Completed in 2011 with the re-opening of the Droitwich Canals this attractive short ring comprises a mix of narrow and broad canals and a short stretch of the River Severn. It passes through attractive countryside and interesting places including Droitwich and Worcester.
The ring is 20 miles, and 33 locks long.

From Warwickshire Narrowboats Hire Base you will join the ring at Hanbury Junction which is 36 miles, and 84 locks away making the total trip 94 miles, and 201 locks.

This will take 7 days based on cruising just over 7 hours per day.

This will take 18 hours which is 7 hours each full day plus 3 hours on the first evening and 1 hour on the last morning.
