Fun Half-Term Activities in Warwickshire for All Ages

Beat the Chill with Practical Tips for Winter Living

For families hiring a luxury narrowboat in Warwickshire this October half-term, here are some great things to do with the kids.

  • St John’s Haunted House

One of the best places to bring your little ones is St John’s Haunted House in Warwick, where there will be plenty of activities to spook and scare your children ahead of Halloween.

Between October 27th and 30th, the building will be transformed into a haunted house, covered in gruesome decorations and ghoulish characters. The 90-minute experience also includes a messy play area where they can create their own potions, a small play zone, and a chance to make bouncy eyeballs and a spooky lantern.

Tickets for children are £14, while adults are £8, and under twos go free.

  • Halloween at Warwick Castle

One of the best Halloween spectacles in the country is coming to Warwick Castle this year, so make sure you don’t miss it.

Tickets for Halloween at the Castle start from £29 per person between October 22nd and 31st, which includes ‘spellbinding’ live shows and plenty of gruesome decorations.

There is also the chance to head into the castle after 1800 for a really spooky experience and live entertainment.

  • Creepy Crawlies at Market Hall Museum

Something a little less extravagant is the Creepy Crawlies event at Warwick’s Market Hall Museum on Wednesday October 26th. This is a great opportunity to get into the Halloween spirit while still having time to explore the rest of the city. Your kids are sure to love coming face to face with some real-life bugs, and there will be an insect trail and crafts for them to enjoy.
